Alright. So my body finally got over whatever it was that invaded my breathing space. And now on with life. I hate being sick so much, it's like your entire world just suspends and you can't get SHIT done because you're absolutely miserable and uncomfortable.
But not now! I am officially supposed to start doing more to loosen up the tissues in my foot, so I have planned accordingly.
Building a new raised bed, probably over the weekend, super stoked about that. I won't be able to fully put it in until I can mulch the ground up a bit, which will probably take a couple of days. Maybe. I dunno. But I'm going to make the frame this weekend. My MIL bought me a couple of Home Depot gift cards, and I will need to plant some stuff soon if I'm going to get anything out of it....I don't feel like it's going to get cold enough here to kill off seedings, and if it does, I have the fabric to cover the beds with. I have a ton of romaine growing in my garden, and I've been slowly noshing that down. There's catnip still alive. I unconvered it so I'm sure a large amount will go missing because Ramsey is a complete addict. And I've left my brocolli to flower and the bees are out there every day. A few carrots to pull.
I think if I plant some stuff now I can get a good crop out before it gets too effing hot in April or May. Probably April because our summers suck. 115+ last year. For a long-ass time. I want the extra bed for Tomatos, which didn't do well on the side of the house. At All. But the canteloupe did, so I'm planting that there again, and giving the tomatoes at least half of the new bed, maybe the whole thing, they get huge!
I have zinnias reseeded in a side garden and I need to weed a TON. They and the Blue Bedder Sage have been the hardiest in that bed. And I have a good amount of iris, roses, morning glory, and cannas that have all established a TONNN.
Fun stuff for me. Pics will surely be posted. I love to play outside. Spring is my favorite time of the year. Last year, I had a good variety of hummingbird in the yard, so I'm planning to put out a couple of hummingbird feeders with the regular bird feeders. *sigh* Can't wait....
